Today’s new music spotlight is on Team Picture.

About: Team Picture is a six-member troupe of genre tourists specialising in exuberant tonal lurch, split between three different vocalists, a stack of synthesizers, and a significant level of disregard for trend and convention. Basically it’s like what would happen if Kate Bush was a member of the B52’s and they were covering a Yo La Tengo album co-written by The Cure. FOREVER.
Team Picture released a mini-album ‘RECITAL’ in July 2018, and have recorded a three-part, full-length debut that will be revealed at the start of 2020.
They live in Leeds and Wakefield.
What Hidden Herd say: West Yorkshire sextet Team Picture aren’t ones to be shackled by genre, cooking up inventive, boundary-hopping art-rock that feels like it dwells in the gap between Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem. Get to know them via recent single ‘Another, Always’ – a fidgety synth-loaded stonker that’ll reel you back for repeated listens.
