South coast band Wild Front continue their steady ascent with euphoric new single ‘Views’, a shot of shimmering guitar pop that sounds like it was built for bustling fields and chock full arenas.

The dreamy track that jangles and swoons in the vein of fellow newcomers Haize is a bold statement of intent from the foursome, who we caught up with to discuss their musical journey to date.

New single ‘Views’ is fantastic. How did the song come about?

“I wrote it on my kitchen floor with a bowl of Cinnamon Grahams.”

How did you guys get together?

“Some of us grew up together and the rest of us met at college and have been close friends since.”

What inspired your name?

“Dunno really! We just spend about 2 months arguing over it and ended up with Wild Front!”

Who are the Top 5 biggest influences on your sound right now?

“We have quite a mixture between the four of us, but I would say a strong five are Bon Iver, Knower, Glass Animals, Turnover and Vulfpeck.”

Any other new bands that you’ve played with and would recommend?

“Some of our favorite bands that we’ve played with are Orchards, The Hunna, Submariner and Surfer Blood.”

And finally, what does 2017 hold for Wild Front?

“We just wanna be gigging loads and putting out a ton of music and see how far it can take us, it’s been a nice start but there is a lot more to come.”
