Anteros, (one of the most hotly tipped bands of 2016) return with new single ‘The Beat’. After being named as one of Annie Mac’s New Names for the year and playing the Other Stage at Glastonbury, the quartet have been going from strength to strength in both performance and releases. Following on from the flirtatious and frantic ‘Breakfast’, ‘The Beat’ is a similarly high octane dose of indie pop that feels transcendent of era and shockingly future proof.

Laura Hayden’s salacious vocal tones immediately evoke thoughts of Debbie Harry’s snarl while its puncturing pop structure is both immediate and defiantly infectious. This formulaic approach to their signature sound makes it apparently clear as to why their fan-base has been expanding at such a rapid rate and includes a whole host of tastemakers and publications including The 405 and Wonderland. ‘The Beat’, along with its predecessor ‘Breakfast’ will be included in an EP of the same name released September 19th. You can catch Hayden and co live at Reading & Leeds this summer and they have also announced a headline show for The Waiting Room in London on September 26th.
