Hanging in the cool air at the dead of night is where the hypnotic works of twentysomethings Jamie Bird and Andy Gladwell come alive. The Bristol-dwelling duo, who together go under fitting nom de plume Bird Noire, splice sedate electronic beats and layered falsetto vocals to create slow-burning and soulful night pop.

While only a teaser clip currently exists online as proof, the impact of ‘Ghost’ is instant; imagine Glass Animals‘ expansive synths, Burial‘s brooding intensity and James Blake‘s tender coo co-existing in The xx‘s living room. Impressive, huh? The promised forthcoming debut LP will be an enticing proposition indeed.
