London foursome Escapists have been floating around since the turn of the decade, but their stadium-ready new single is the sound of a band looking to elevate things to the next level.
‘Pyramid Scheme’ is a hybrid of swirling guitars, dizzying Peace-like hooks and tight drumbeats à la The Maccabees. Its an upbeat and infectious mix that desires to fill the sweat-soaked walls of the indie disco and be hollered along to by the congregation.
