Gender‘s do well to encourage their listeners to advocate the title of this track within the first few seconds, leading with flanged guitars and ethereal soundscapes. As ‘Life Is But A Dream’ kicks into gear, the track guides and teases with a Wild Nothing-esque deliverance, although far less reserved; their guitar licks cut through speakers like butter.

The Portland four have a knack for undeniably likeable music. Where some may critique at a little too ‘this’ or a little too ‘that’, Genders utilise the aura of many bands before to create a sound that’s incredibly comprehensive, and impossible to get bored of. Prepare to like this track, a lot.
