All hail Hater. Despite a less than inviting moniker, the Swedish quartet’s debut single ‘Radius’ actually makes for a rather warm and fuzzy introduction.

The Malmö-based band are purveyors of washed-out indie pop, with the sort of hazy production that sounds like it’s already seeping from the budget portable speaker of someone lapping up the brazen sun at a summer music jaunt.

Singer Caroline Landahl’s woozy coo swims in the mix with the cavernous wall of guitar and drums, recalling Alvvays and Saltwater Sun in its evocative execution. Of course, it’s a formula that’s almost impossible to detest, making the latest recruit to Stockholm’s PNKSLM Recordings a surefire soundtrack for the days of scorching heat that are (hopefully) on the way.
