‘Haiku’ flies straight into gear, setting the scene with attitude and confidence.

Kramer, a 4-piece from Nottingham/Matlock bring with them a whole slew of musical influences, from the Santana-infused intro lick to the Alex Turner swagger of lead singer Tom Jackson, making them an invitingly charming combination of indie, rock and soul. Jackson’s baritone vocals couldn’t be better placed over this exceptionally catchy track, and carry with them the poetic sincerity of King Krule, albeit with a bit more attitude.

With enough grit to command your attention, and enough funk to keep your head moving, Kramer could certainly grow from here.
