Today’s new music spotlight is on All Better.

Location: Brighton

Line-up: Nick Burdett (vocals/bass), Chris Childs (guitar/vocals) and Sam Perkins (drums)

About: All Better are a Brighton-based dirty-pop trio exuding a bold and energetic sound that’s reminiscent of pop-punk royalty, albeit filtered through a cheeky yet emotively sincere brand of their own. Their debut EP ‘A Turn at Being Cool’, boasts six beautifully 90s-tainted tracks that dip toes in both hard and soft ends of the punk spectrum. Poetically mischievous and honest, All Better tackle the rights of passage we all face with humour, joy and at times a middle finger. Whether you love or hate these boys, the songs will stick like a squid to the face.

What Hidden Herd say: All Better’s evocative pop-punk sound is a welcome blast from the past, with palm muted guitars, breakneck tempo and lung-stretching choruses. Tune in below and let them breathe new life into the soundtrack of your youth.
