Today’s new music spotlight is on Bright Orange Spectacle.

Location: London

Line-up: Charlie Sinclair (vocals/piano/guitar), Kyle Torode (guitar/piano), Darcy Calton (guitar) and George Le Page (drums)

About: To say Bright Orange Spectacle have had a huge first year would be an understatement: their first dreamy, uplifting single ‘She Could Do Better’ immediately made its mark on the world with its addictive choruses and infectious melodic hooks.

Few can lay claim to mastering their sound at such an early level, but Bright Orange Spectacle have already laid the foundations for a very promising future to come. Blending euphoric piano work, fuzzy guitars and arena-sized vocals, this is alternative pop-rock with a difference, and their new single ‘I Struggle To Communicate’ is no exception.

What Hidden Herd say: Searching for a ray of indie-pop brilliance? Look no further than Bright Orange Spectacle, who have unleashed hook-loaded banger upon banger in 2019. The North London quartet’s latest offering is the Arcade Fire-ish ‘I Struggle to Communicate’, a winning combo of peppy keys, ethereal guitars and internal monologue lyrics.
