About: London indie quartet Hot Dreams are building to be one to watch after just three releases. They release their euphoric new single ‘Stronger’on January 11th via GMR.

Radio 1’s Annie Mac highlighted the band as one of her New Names, while further airplay has included support from BBC London Introducing and Radio X. Now Hot Dreams move towards the release of their debut EP by sharing new track ‘Stronger’. The track’s majestic mood brims with emotional yearning before it erupts into flight with a soaring, anthemic chorus that deserves to grace larger stages. Self-produced by the band, and mixed by Michael Sealy, it blurs the boundaries between the atmospheric intensity of post-punk and the enticing immediacy of pop.

Lyrically ‘Stronger’ is a personal account of the stigma surrounding mental health and the consequences of (particularly men) not opening up to each other. It’s a call for compassion and conversation when it comes to things we may not fully understand in other people.

Hot Dreams formed in 2016 over a shared interest in artists such as Pumarosa, Blonde Redhead, Slowdive and King Krule.

What Hidden Herd say: Hot Dreams do skyscraping choruses and emotive euphoria like no other right now, continuing an impeccable run of form with their latest single. Cocooned in echo-doused guitar lines and cathartic harmonies, ‘Stronger’ is another string to their already prolific bow; the sort of dizzying anthem that’ll melt even the coldest heart.
