Today, our new music spotlight is on la lune.
Line-up: Olivia Judd (vocals/guitar/launchpad), Myles Sargent (drums), Ed Fair (synth bass) and Billy Hempen (synth)
About: The 19-year-old, London-born singer-songwriter and producer la lune has been releasing music with a DIY ethos for the last year, and has gradually been accumulating the support of loyal listeners and the likes of BBC Introducing, NME and EARMILK. Upon the release of la lune’s self-produced debut EP ‘bliss’, la lune has been compared to the likes of The Japanese House and James Blake and has been pegged by many as “one to watch”.
What Hidden Herd say: Prepare to be spellbound by la lune’s spine-tingling nighttime electro-pop; her slow-burning, sometimes haunting, piano-led songs echo IDER and Oh Wonder at their most affecting.
For fans of: The Japanese House, IDER, Oh Wonder
