Call Me‘ – the latest single from Finland’s Lake Jons – is a melancholy mood-lifter, playing with pulsing, chirpy synths that bring forth childlike euphoria and youthful exuberance. Throwing together hazy nostalgic influences from artists such as Alex G and some of the latest material from Bibio, there’s a sound here that throws the listener into some much-needed daydreams of warmer memories during the winter months.

Call Me‘ is taken from the Helsinki trio’s recently-released and self-titled debut album, which carries more of their familiar charm. Their tracks fleet between playful and intimate, finding a delectable sweet-spot between twee organic folk and electro-pop to create a sound that warms and delivers again and again.
