Today’s new music spotlight is on Submariner.

Location: Brighton

Line-up: Jimmy Herrity (guitar/vocals), Alex Dunning (guitar), Billy Higgs (drums) and Ben Brockway (bass)

About: Submariner are an emotive indie band from Brighton with an organic flair for earworm melodies. The past two years have seen attention from BBC Introducing, new music discovery platforms such as The Line of Best Fit, packed out headline slots across the south coast and festival slots at Isle Of Wight, Victorious, Common People and The Great Escape.

With a series of new releases on the horizon and three of their biggest headline shows to date to close 2018, the band are set to charge into 2019 full steam ahead.

What Hidden Herd say: Submariner‘s soaring guitar-pop is awash with euphoric hooks and juxtaposing dark lyrics. Yet to get acquainted? Latest tune ‘T.O.Y.S.’ is a vibrant slow-build with a stratospheric chorus – their best release yet.
