About: Brighton new-comers Suzi Island return with ‘Actor’, a track questioning the current state of the film industry in wake of the #MeToo movement and the truths it has brought to light in Hollywood. After paving the way with their successful debut single ‘Show Me The Way’, landing the Hype Machine Top 20, securing a place on the new PES 2019 soundtrack and a spin on Made In Chelsea along the way, the three 20-year-olds are making massive moves in 2018. Hugh Reilly-Smith fronts the group with life-long friends and housemates Matt Carter and Carlie Randall-Smith. Just like ‘Show Me The Way’, ‘Actor’ was Produced by Pete Robertson of The Vaccines and mixed by Ben Mclusky, known recently for his work with Liam Gallagher, Sea Girls and Will Joseph Cook.

What Hidden Herd say: There’s even more to Suzi Island’s addictive indie-pop tunes than you might initially think; standout second single ‘Actor’ is a vibrant flourish of hooks with its sights firmly set on the big league, but also a vehicle for a positive #MeToo movement message.
