Today, our new music spotlight is on The King’s Parade.

Location: London

Line-up: Olly Corpe (vocals/guitar), Sam Rooney (keys/vocals), Tom English (bass) and Chris Brent (drums)

About: Far more than a cookie-cutter guitar band, the London quartet The King’s Parade have carved a unique sound blending alternative soul and indie-rock amongst stunning heart-warming soul music.

From releasing just a string of well received EPs the band have gone on to sell out headline shows across the UK and Europe, while receiving critical praise from the likes of The Independent, Clash, Wonderland, Alternative Press, Mahogany and EARMILK. They have support from both BBC 6Music and Radio 2, and most recently featured as BBC Introducing’s ‘Artist Of The Week’.

What Hidden Herd say: The King’s Parade return with a soulful swoon, gently swaying their listeners with an emotive wave of golden nostalgia. As ever, Corpe and Rooney’s sincere, expansive vocals call out over delectably-organic instrumentals to give a sound that’ll make the hairs on your arms stand tall.
