Today, our new music spotlight is on Tuval.
Line-up: Tuval Schneerson (vocals/guitar/drums/bass/synths), Nadav Schneerson (drums/percussion), Josh Buchanan (bass) and Jack Arnold (synths/shakers)
About: Tuval is a multi-instrumentalist songwriter who has, in the past four years, independently released three self-produced EPs to online acclaim, whilst honing his craft and attracting underground attention around the country. Supporting the likes of Matthew E White, collaborating with members of Wire and British Sea Power, as well as working with producer John Parish, at 21 years old Tuval has built a strong musical foundation. His music takes on the ambitious burden of fusing pop music with R&B, Shoegaze and classically backed strings. Having been compared to Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley and Slowdive, his arrangements are fronted by an innovative band of sonic architects. His latest EP ‘My Love Don’t Worry’ is a collection of tunes old and new, exploring existential angst, young wonderment and romance.
What Hidden Herd say: Otherworldly dream-popper Tuval makes an off-kilter sound that ebbs and flows like the south coast waves. His brand new EP is the perfect entry point – a hazy hybrid of lo-fi, dark wave and baroque pop that deserves your time and attention.
