Today’s new music spotlight is on WOOZE.

Location: London/Seoul

Line-up: Theo Spark (vocals/guitar) and Jamie She (vocals/drums)

About: Formed in late 2017 out of Brixton’s Muddy Yard Collective, WOOZE are the Korean / British duo of Theo Spark and Jamie She. Having made a studio in a disused builders’ depot, the two wrote the bulk of their early material, a blend of baroque ‘n’ roll and Pandora for the 21st century. At the turn of the year, the band filmed their debut video in Seoul with a K-pop director – and the video along with their single, ‘Hello Can You Go’, is out now on Young Poet Records.

What Hidden Herd say: Infectious new duo WOOZE make experimental pop music of the mind-expanding variety. Brilliantly wonky first single ‘Hello Can You Go’ is a bold entrance, a kaleidoscopic explosion of colourful sound that is as vivid as the eye-popping yellow press shot that accompanies it.
