Otherworldly is the word that springs to mind when the heavenly intro of Robbing Millions‘In the No Air’ hits in.

The latest single from the Belgium group instantly hypnotises with celestial voices, progressing into an off-kilter psych pop voyage – the sort that hops from genre to genre, and recalls MGMT and Youth Lagoon along the way.

Like the latter, the Brussels duo are purveyors of intergalactic hooks, and ‘In the No Air’ is their most earworming composition yet thanks to its chugging Darwin Deez-ish guitar work and odd little refrain that burrows into the brain and takes up residence.

It’s unsurprising to discover that the track was produced by cult wizard Nicolas Vernhes, known for his work with Dirty Projectors and Animal Collective among others. In the vein of those acts, Robbing Millions‘ creativity is relentless and theirs is a sound that has the power to ensorcell.
