Expressive, emotive, powerful and intimate. These are the adjectives that come to mind the first time you hear a Samm Henshaw track.
It’s almost impossible to understand how a voice like this finds its way into such a relatively young body. The sincerity of his lyrics are unquestionable, and the perfectly complemented female harmonies in ‘Redemption’ make Henshaw a strong new contender in the Blues bourgeois.
It’s almost too easy to say Henshaw draws some influence from Stevie Wonder, but he does for all the right reasons.
