Don’t let yesterday’s cloud-veiled skies halt your hazy summer vibes; today we introduce Brighton’s The Island Club.

Their latest ray-soaked jam ‘Let Go’ yearns to be heard on a palm-fringed coast, with euphoric peaks that echo Swim Deep circa their debut and spiky funk-laden guitars that recall Friendly Fires. On its chorus, the five-piece showcase a deft knack for a killer hook – much like our Oxford favourites Dance à la Plage – and make a rippling sound that evokes crystal clear waves.

If you’re all about the sort of sizzling indie pop that people play when they’re getting drunk on sun, then The Island Club are your new music staple. They take to the stage at September’s Together The People, which is set to be one of the highlights of the festival calendar.
