A dance floor mainstay since the 90s, it’s hard to imagine the Robin S house classic, Show Me Love, any other way. Nevertheless, Urchin have gone and done just that and with great success. The London 8-piece have taken that unmistakable, mighty hook and made something altogether new but equally deserving of its place on the dance floor. If you love Bonobo or Submotion Orchestra, you’ll want to hear these guys.

Thanks to the tight groove and vocals as laid back and seductive as Roisin Murphy’s, the Urchin rework almost reminds us of Moloko at their most disco with Sing it Back. Meanwhile, lush flourishes from the wind section make it just easy to draw comparisons to nu-jazz innovators like The Cinematic Orchestra. Quite frankly, we can think of few combinations as satisfying.
