Liverpudlian Zuzu channels Courtney Barnett in this hazy, nostalgic ode with punk rock vibes and fuzzy guitars. ‘Get Off’ is cheek-bitten and brash; Zuzu describes the inspiration for the song arising from ‘the frustration of not being heard’ – something she’s certainly put to rights in this release. The debut single is unarguably catchy, confidently stamping her musical mark on to the British public in the wake of other recent female rock icons, such as Wolf Alice.

The timing of her debut release comes off the back of some revered live performances at The Great Escape, Live at Leeds, Truck Festival and Tramlines, giving her an ample springboard on which to start her career.
